Qualified appointment
A confirmed meeting with a decision-maker about a commercial property. If any of those three is missing, it is not an appointment.
A lead is a name. An appointment is a meeting.
If you are shopping “commercial roofing leads,” start here. This page defines the product — then shows published cost ranges from other companies. None of those numbers are THP pricing.
A commercial roofing lead is a name or inquiry. An appointment is a confirmed meeting with a decision-maker. A close is a signed job; collected is when you got paid. Shared marketplaces sell the first thing and charge whether anyone answers. THP’s partner offer, if you qualify, is appointments you do not pay for until you close and collect.
What is a commercial roofing lead?
A lead is contact information plus a stated interest — a form, a call transfer, a list row. It is not a meeting. It is not exclusive unless the contract says so. Most “roofing leads” sold online are this first object.
What is a qualified appointment?
A qualified appointment is a calendar slot the other side agreed to, after someone confirmed interest, timing, and authority. If that live check fails, it should not become a meeting. How THP runs that check is on how appointments get set.
What is a close versus collected?
A close is a signed contract. Collected is when money actually landed. Those are different dates. Marketplace and pay-per-appointment invoices usually fire earlier — on the inquiry or on the set. If you qualify, THP is paid after you close and collect. Typical partnership terms are confirmed after qualification.
Five words contractors mix up

| Word | What you actually have |
|---|---|
| Lead | A name, number, or inquiry. May be shared. May never answer. |
| Appointment | A confirmed meeting with someone who said they will take it. |
| Inspection / site visit | You showed up. Still not a contract. |
| Close | They signed. You are contractor of record. |
| Collected | You got paid. That is when a back-end partnership recovers cost. |
What do lead-cost figures actually measure?

| JobNimbus blog (channel table) | Retrieved 2026-09-01 | Mixed roofing channels | Organic $10–$50 · Google Ads $80–$300 · shared platforms $30–$100 · exclusive services $200–$500+ | Channel CPL, not commercial exclusive appointments. Not THP pricing. |
| SearchLight Digital | Q1 2026 · $310k spend · 15 contractors | Non-branded Google Ads roofing CPL | $124 average | Home-services search ads. Not a commercial appointment price. |

Methodology: these are other companies’ samples. They mix residential and commercial, ads and portals, leads and appointments. Use them to read a salesperson’s pitch — not to reverse-engineer a THP fee. THP does not publish pricing.
Why a shared lead can cost more than the invoice
The invoice is what you paid the portal. The real cost is invoice ÷ (exclusive contact × show rate × close rate × collected). Hypothetical only: if two other contractors also bought the same inquiry, you did not buy a job — you bought a bid. That math is why cheap shared leads feel expensive. It is not a THP result.
How to read a “cost per lead” claim
Ask what object they sold (inquiry, live transfer, or set). Ask how many buyers got it. Ask when you owe money if nobody answers. If they cannot answer those three, the number is decoration. Marketplace rules live on Angi / HomeAdvisor. Invoice timing lives on pay-per-appointment vs pay when you close.
When buying leads can still make sense
Residential repair, overflow after a storm, or a crew that can absorb shared bids. Commercial reroof and recover work usually needs one contractor, a decision-maker, and a calendar — not a name in a queue.
Where THP’s model sits next to these numbers
THP does not sell a lead list on this site and does not publish a fee. If a licensed commercial contractor qualifies, THP funds search and booking and is paid after close and collection. Apply on the partner page.

Want appointments, not another lead file?
If your commercial company qualifies, THP funds the search and the set. You close and collect.
